Vieux Passage is a much soughtafter fishing hamlet facing Etel across the river. Nearby Carnac has superb beaches, a casino and the famous standing stones. La Trinite sur Mer is famous for its annual SPI Ouest sailing regatta held every Easter, whilst Lorient is an excellent shopping centre and the port for the short trip to the off shore island of Ile de Groix. Visit the Quiberon peninsula for the dramatic Cote Sauvage with its excellent surfing, sand yachting, and kite surfing, a real watersport haven. Golf at St Laurent, near Carnac and the famous Monday market in Auray, make this an excellent holiday location.
