The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel.

Bohinj Polje is a quiet village of mountain chalets just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests, considered by many to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country. Several paths lead from the village into the surrounding hills and forests and down to the Lake. The Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming and sunbathing in the Summer. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and and the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav, not to mention for paragliding as well as skiing. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good infrastructure and snow record. Also good beginner - intermediate level skiing at Kobla, 5 mins drive away in the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which also offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities. 20 min drive away is world famous Lake Bled.

Skiing The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best, with a beautiful setting, an impressive snow record and a wide range of shorter and longer on and off piste trails to suit all abilities. The smaller resorts of Kobla and Soriska Planina a short drive away also cater for beginners - intermediate skiers.

Golf Information: Bled golf course 20 minutes drive away is an internationally recognized course in a wonderful mountain setting.
