General information about San Miguel.
La Bodega is located in San Miguel one of the oldest towns in the south of Tenerife . It is the administrative centre for the area of San Miguel de Abona and is surrounded by fertile land interspersed with barrancas mountains and pine forests. San Miguels narrow streets and classic Canarian architecture has enabled the general public to love the historical yet rural feel of this town and county. There is plenty to do and discover. There are local fishing villages, traditional markets with an abundance of fresh products, unspoilt countryside to walk, run, hike, picnic, and enjoy as well as windsurfing, countless water sports, golf courses, horse riding, carnavals, even ralley car racing around the mountains above San Miguel in September. San Miguel is a pleasant place to stroll in with its friendly local people, freshly baked bread and cake shops, bars and cafés narrow lanes and with the sound of the church bells ringing in your ears this will be pleasant and enjoyable holiday

La Bodega has four cottages with a shared swimming pool, set in attractively laid out gardens, with sun terraces, sun loungers and barbecue and patio areas. La Bodega was converted from an old wine bodega and farmhouse and is situated in San Miguel a typical old rural Canarian town in the south of Tenerife. It is 15 minutes from the Reina Sofia international airport and 600 metres above sea level offering spectacular views to the sea and surrounding countryside. La Bodega is far enough away from the major tourist areas but close enough to enjoy the facilities, If you play golf there are two golf courses, Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf just 15 minutes away. The principle tourist area of the south, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos with their superb beaches no more than 20 minutes, not forgetting the pine forests mountains and Canarian villages that are on our door step.

La Bodega cottages have a large sitting rooms with high wooden beamed ceilings, nicely furnished with separate kitchen. The kitchens is fully equipped and has every thing that you might need. The cottages have magnificent views overlooking the swimming pool and gardens from the balcony to the sea and coastline. The bathrooms have bath/shower, w.c. bidet, wash basin, towels and hair-dryer, everything you will need to make this your perfect holiday home. There are fitted wardrobes in the bedroom, bedside cabinets and a full length mirrors.
