Location
This Tuscany villa is located on a hill, about 1 km away from a small village near Castiglione d'Orcia. Nearby many medieval villages dot the hills, along with churches, monasteries, and above all, the town of Rocca d'Orcia, with the Rocca a Tentennano, a hilltop castle of striking beauty. All of this is set in the famous Brunello wine region, where many local wineries offer tasting and delicious specialties of Tuscan cuisine. Also worth visitng are the Colline Metallifere, a series of volcanic hills with hot rocks, the so-called wild heart of Tuscany. This villa is also close to Monte Amiata, a good starting point from which to reach many other destinations in the area, such as Pienza (the perfect city), Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Radicofani, Castiglione d?Orcia, S.Quirico, Montalcino and Abbazzia di S. Antimo. Other important points of interest include the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni, S.Filippo, and Chianciano Terme. In the village of Castiglione d?Orcia, just 5 minutes drive from your villa apartment, you will find a pharmacy, post-office, bank, one supermarket, and three mini-markets.

Exterior Description
(3,500 m2) The farmhouse, built in the first decades of the 20th century, has been completely restored and divided into five independent apartments. The fields that surround the building are cultivated with grain and thus change colour throughout the year: green in springtime, yellow in the summer, and golden brown in the autumn and winter. Among the grain fields there are huge meadows with poppies and several varieties of wild orchids and roses. Walking along the paths near the farmhouse, you're bound to catch glimpses of the local wildlife: roebucks, hares, pheasants, porcupines, wild boars and rare birds like blue rock thrushes, stone curlews, and woodchat shrikes. The exterior area around this villa consists of a garden and a large private swimming pool (6m x 12m), accessed via a gravel path, with an amazing panoramic view of the countryside. The villa also has ample parking, and each apartment has its own gazebo with a table and chairs in the garden.
