Lot cottage Rental Property Information

A 150 year old stone property set in 4 acres of land nestled high on the valley side above the River Lot just 4 Miles from the town of Cajarc. The property has the most gorgeous and relaxing views reaching far along the river valley. They can be enjoyed from the poolside, a choice of a couple of terraces or from the sun room in the house. The house is newly renovated with furniture, beds and bedding, crockery, etc. A new fireplace and electric heaters provide ample warmth during the cooler months. The house sleeps 8 people - which includes 3 rooms with double beds and 1 room with twin beds (this being a large landing space). There is a new fully equipped kitchen and large sitting room with dining area. Outside there is a 10m x 5m swimming pool, gardens, orchard and paddocks and a great area for barbecues at the original bread oven. The pool and house face southwest making sunbathing possible throughout the day, just the occasional change of angle to the sun bed is all that´s needed !

The house is located high of the valley side of the River Lot between Figeac and Cajarc. It can be reached easily from the A20 if you are driving. By air it is close to Rodez and Bergerac Airports and under 2 hours from Toulouse Airport. The Lot Valley is South of the Dordogne and there are many attractions close to the house. You will be able to find many places of interest in less than an hour's drive from the house. Of note are the nearby village of Cajarc (10 minutes), the beautiful local market town of Figeac (20 minutes), and the renowned villages of St. Cirq-lapopie (25 minutes) and Rocamadour (one hour). If you enjoy meandering through the local markets many can be reached in villages and towns close to the house. These include Cajarc, Figeac, Villefranche, Limogne, Cahors, and Gramat – all less than an hour from the house. One for nearly each day of the week.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • A 10% deposit is required to secure a reservation with the balance to be paid as follows:
    - 50% (40% if 10% deposit has been previously paid) to be made 60 days prior to arrival date.
    - Final 50% to be made 30 days prior to arrival date.
    A security deposit of £ 300 is required to cover any damage caused during stay. The deposit is refunded after departure assuming no damage has been caused.
  • Cancellation:
    If the reservation is cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
    If the reservation is cancelled less than 60 days and more than 30 days prior to arrival than a 25% cancellation / administration fee is payable.
    If the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival a 75% cancellation fee is payable. However, should it be possible to obtain a new Client for the period cancelled then only a 25% cancellation / administration fee will be charged.
  • Changeover day is typically Saturday with arrivals being after 3pm and departures the following Saturday being before 10am. However, the changeover day can be flexible particularly during the off peak times.
