Atop a small hill, outside the city walls, amidst resplendent grounds, with acres of countryside all around, a romantic and glamorous setting, it is 0.75 of a mile to the historic centre of Spoleto (10 mins walk) - same distance to the train station, from where you can get to practically anywhere in Italy. Indeed, for those who are car-free, Umbria's most up-market supermarket, where you can sit at the bar and spot famous faces from all over the world, is just 5 mins walk down the lane. Staying here, you will want for nothing ! Yet, lounging in the beautiful grounds, you are unaware that the local facilities are so close. There is no traffic on the lane leading to Spoleto By The Pool, except for the odd car belonging to the owners of the other 2 villas along this lane. Apt 1 is spacious, light and airy with a large sitting/dining room, 3 large windows + French windows onto a lovely terrace (seats 4) overlooking the pool, Jacuzzi + BBQ area with panoramic views of the countryside all round. Beams throughout, fabulous stone arches, this lovely apt will delight and wow you. Apts 1, 2, 3 + 4 make up the main cottage and stand at the highest point, looking down the stepped and landscaped gardens towards the pool. APTs 5 + 6 are in the smaller cottage with a garden that is besides the pool. The grounds are spacious with nooks and crannies where you can sit in privacy. The pool is large with lots of sun-loungers placed around a very wide patio area surrounding the pool. Here, guests can sunbathe and relax without undue disturbance from other guests. Standing on a small hill, just outside the city walls, Spoleto By The Pool is the nearest and largest pool property to central Spoleto. Add to that, a stunning and convenient location - unbeatable

This location is the best ! Spoleto centre and the station are within spitting distance and, the mountains are all around you. A tranquil place with easy access to all the hot-spots….Assisi, Perugia, Trevi, Spello, Norcia, Perugia, Todi, Gubbio and, just over an hour to Rome. Spoleto is the Italians’ favourite place in Umbria – some say in Italy. Now, Italy’s best kept secret has been revealed. And, Spoleto is enjoying its new found fame. The locals are so friendly. Once here, you are bound in a kinship of love and worship of all that is most precious to the Italian….. sculpture, architecture, works of Art and, above all, food ! Not to mention wine, shopping and the most famous of all activities – the passegiatta ! The bus, at the end of the lane, goes to the top of Spoleto, the famous Rocca and Il Ponte. Very convenient if you fancy walking back home, down-hill, through the pretty, cobbled and arched streets of Spoleto, passing the myriad of shops, bars and restaurants along the way.

All the apartments have private balconies or terraces. The 100 sq mt pool and the jacuzzi is for the exclusive use of the guests of Spoleto By The Pool. Please order your own BBQ if you wish to remain private - no extra charge. However, the communal BBQ has 2 chimneys for 2 BBQs to take place at the same time). Please order a high-chair - no extra charge. Beach towels also provided - no extra charge.
