While in town, you can also ride an excursion to along the Tuckasegee River on the Great Smoky Mountains Railway or enjoy dinner on the train in the evening.
Dream Hill Cabin is just minutes away from the Indian town of Cherokee with it's native shops, museums, fishing and famous outdoor docu-drama, "Unto These Hills." Also nearby are all the popular recreation areas of the Great Smoky Mountains, including the National Park, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, hiking the Appalachian Trail, riding in the Tsali Recreation area, and the quaint towns of Sylva and Bryson City.
