Fayence villa Rental Property Information
Set in extensive grounds, this is a tranquil and secluded paradise, but is still in easy reach of all commodities. Approaching along the long level drive through wooded parkland you finally arrive at the fishpond and fountain at the front of the house, and are confronted with a wonderful view over the foothills of the Alps to the North. Looking out from the kitchen door past the stone pillars and the shaded terrace you can see 'the stone that sings' and the sparkling waters of the large kidney shaped swimming pool. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen. A large sitting/dining room overlooks the fountain and fishpond near the entrance porch. Each of the 2 floors has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and WC, accessible from the size able entrance hall with mezzanine. The property is a tasteful residence well maintained by the owners. Here there is total privacy owing to its commanding position on the top of a low hill, and views nearly all the way round, sometimes glimpsed through trees.

This is a quiet area, approached through vineyards and olive groves, with expansive views over the foothills of the Southern Alpes. The whole region has stunning scenery and the charming hill villages all have events and festivals during the summer. However, Nice Airport is only 50 minutes away. Good restaurants abound, and there is a delightful variety of shops and markets. Lots to explore in the vicinity and further afield. There are gorges, rivers and spectacular scenery. Rocky crags and mountains in the distance. A fantastic holiday area! Parking in all local villages is free. Fayence is about half way between Draguignan and Grasse. The house itself is between the villages of St.Paul en Foret(5 mins) and Fayence(10 mins). There is tennis, riding, golf, gliding nearby (all within 10 minutes), and also a large lake for water sports (20 minutes)

| Notes: | There is a table tennis table, boules terrain. The area outside the house, including the terraces and pool area is relatively flat. The pool is unfenced and quite close to the house, although the steps to it could easily be blocked by a barrier. There is a security alarm fitted to the pool. However, supervision of young children is always advisable where swimming pools are concerned. The fishpond is also accessible, although it has a low wall round it and isn't deep anyway. Nevertheless, the fish would prefer to have it to themselves! To access the house itself there are 2 low steps, and the ground floor has 2 levels, separated by 4 shallow steps. Although 3 of the bedrooms are twins, it is possible to join beds together to make a king size if we are notified in advance. |

Why we are different. It is the setting that makes this house truly remarkable. There are no close neighbours, and because of our position on a hill no one overlooks us. This is not easy to find in an area, which is more and more sought after because of its beauty and stunning scenery. In spite of this we are close to our local hill villages and only half an hour from the coast. Once you arrive you are in your own private paradise. The amount of land here protects you from the outside world, and gives children lots of space to explore without them having to leave the property. The land could be described as wooded parkland, and has a variety of indigenous trees. There are interesting walks and stone walls, making it a wonderful spot to walk or do your early morning 'constitutional' before having breakfast on the terrace. Access is very easy with a long level driveway (not one of those tortuous steep affairs which so often go with a view) and ample easy parking.
The house You follow the long driveway through natural woodland and finally arrive at the fountain and fishpond outside the house. The amount of land here is a protection from the outside world. This unique hilltop position, a registered bird sanctuary, ensures total privacy. To awaken each morning to the stunning views of the mountains lifts the spirits for the rest of the day. It is a nature lover’s paradise with the variety of different trees, such as olive, fig, mimosa, oak, pines, and an abundance of wild herbs. The therapeutic smell of the pines, lavender, wild thyme and marjoram, combined with the music of the cicadas and occasional golden oriole during the day, and the tree frogs and scope owl in the evenings, make this a truly magical place. There are paved terraces on 3 sides of the house facing East, West and South, and over 200m around the pool. There is ample parking.

Golf Information: There is now a new very prestigious golf course close to us (less than 10mins away). It is the Terre Blanche Golf course and Four seasons resort. There is also the St Andreol Golf Course near Le Muy which is about 25 minutes away. This is a very easy 25 minutes as it is through countryside and vineyards with little traffic. If you need more information on either of these contact us. There are also courses at Mougins and Mandelieu.
