Sweet ranch cabin that has been updated and comfortably furnished for your private Montana getaway! Enjoy great fishing and hiking right from the back door, and the ultimate in views and mountain peace and quiet.

The Lazy SR Ranch is located about 15 miles northeast of the small town of Wilsall.... about a one hour drive north from Livingston. The ranch is a huge 7000 acre spread that borders US Forest Service land along the eastern side - which gives you unlimited hiking possibilities in the Crazy Mountains.

Bedrooms: The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with a double bed. There is one full bath in the home with a clawfoot tub and a shower.

Kitchen and dining: The complete kitchen has been updated in recent years and has fairly new appliances, cookware, serving ware, etc. The dining table seats six comfortably, and is located right in the center of the kitchen - farmhouse style! There is a grill and some outdoor seating for barbecues as well.

Living room: The cozy living room is set up to lounge and relax in front of the woodstove on chilly evenings. Bring along some good conversation, reading, or games - the cabin has no television or stereo.

Setting, acreage, views: From the cabin, there are views of the Bridger Mountains to the west, which are about a half hour drive from the home. Directly from the back door, you can hike up into the imposing Crazy Mountains, where there are lots of great hiking and mountain biking trails as well as mountain lakes for fishing. The ranch also features a large stocked trout pond - almost a small lake. There is a picnic area by the pond, as well as a dock and canoe for guests to use. The record trout caught from the pond was a whopping 29 inches (caught last summer)... on average, the trout are about 18 inches.

Services available: The rental rate includes an end of stay cleaning. For guests who stay two weeks or more, a weekly cleaning will be done. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering service and grocery shopping can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.

Activities nearby: Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, heading to Bozeman or Livingston for some gallery shopping, and just relaxing and getting away from it all!

Other details: No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home without prior written approval from Mountain Home. There is a private phone and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.

Fish and play in the huge stocked trout pond, a short walk from the back door. Hike and bike in the rugged Crazy Mountains, drive into Livingston for some small town, western entertainment. Yellowstone National Park is about two hours from the home - and a gorgeous drive the whole way!
