The open living room area with more than 50 m² consists of 2 connected lounges and the kitchen and dining room. There is a small library with up to date literature in German and English, from Michael Crichton and John Grisham to classics like Jane Austen and PG Wodehouse.. A bar table is ideal for games and late hour talks. So there is ample space for groups of people, who can follow different activities at the same time without feeling enclosed. All the furniture is new and without signs of wear. Couches and armchair are leather, lockers and tables oak. There is a wall mounted LCD-TV with HD receiver, Stereo, DVD and W-LAN. The kitchen is equipped with fridge and freezer, dish-washer, ceramic stove top, baking oven and a multitude of things like coffee and espresso machine, chip pan, table grill and others.

The apartmant has a separate entrance - over a small bridge. Access is almost level, there is only one single step in the entrance. Through a hallway you enter the spacious living quarters. From the living quarters you can directly enter the patio, which is situated slightly elevated overlooking the mill pond with its uncomparable atmosphere. On the patio there is garden furniture and barbecue. On hot, sunny days a marquee will offer welcome shade. The patio is fenced, so you can leave smaller children in the open unattended for a short while. From the patio you can walk past the pond into the large garden area, which seamlessly merges with the horse pastures, meadows and forests which surround the mill.

Try us, our recommendations are non-committal. Our foreign guests use the mill as a restorative centre and base for excursions in a wider circle. Day trips to Cologne are popular, to visit the Dom ( Cathedral ), zoo or the multitude of museums, ranging from historic collections like the Roman Germanic Museum to modern art collections like Museum Ludwig. Frankfurt is another frequent destination, with the Senckenberg Museum ( Natural History Museum ), zoo and Palmengarten.

Skiing Information: Are you interested in winter sports? You can get it all in the area, from many downhill slopes to hundreds of miles of cross country ski trails, ice skating, whatever you like.

Golf Information: Only 3km from the mill construction of Sassenhausen golf course has started in June 2009. In September the driving range will be opened. In the next few months initially a short course with 6 holes is to be completed.
