The house has just undergone a total renovation and is now a completely new, luxury, tastefully furnished holiday villa with 3 double and 1 children's bedroom (with 2 beds), 3 comfortable bathrooms (spacious shower, washing basin, bidet and WC), sauna (from November 2008) and a stylish lounge and dining room with an integrated, fully equipped 'American' kitchen and an open fireplace. Satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system is supplied with a selection of DVDs and CDs, the same as table-tennis and bicycles. Enjoy your evening BBQ at the large heatable pergola-covered terrace or in the idyllic Mediterranean garden. The magnificent natural beach of Monaco Mirante is only a 2 minutes walk through the original dunes a (preserved area).

The quiet little agglomeration of Monaco Mirante lies on the Gulf of Taranto, 3 km southeast of the beach resort and small seaport Campomarino, on the Ionian Sea. Our romantic Mediterranean garden is surrounded by a coastal landscape: dunes, beach and sea in the front, gardens, vineyards and olive groves at the back. On narrow streets winding their way through vinyards and olive trees more than a hundred years old, you can reach the typical Apulian town of Maruggio with its friendly and hospitable inhabitants in a few minutes by bicycle. Here, you find all you need for your vacation. The larger cities of Lecce, Taranto and Brindisi, all well worth a visit, are less than 1 hour by car away. Coming from the north (Rome, Napoli, Bari), you follow the Adriatic highway all the way to Taranto, then it is less than an hour to Monaco Mirante. The airports of Brindisi and Bari are about 60 or 100 mins respectively away.

If you want, send us a shopping list and you’ll find everything you need for your first Italian meal in the kitchen. Anything else we can do? No problem! Welcome to Puglia - enjoy yourself!

Be mobile If you arrive by plane or train and do not want to rent a car, we can arrange for you to be picked you up at the airport or station (at cost price, petrol and driver). We do recommend for you get your own mode of transport. We provide you with bicycles (inclusive), which are perfect for smaller tours and the daily shopping. You can either rent a car at the airport or pick from our fleet: a Fiat Cinquecento, an old VW bus, a Ford Transit (9 seater) and two motor scooters. Please ask for availability and pricing.
