Blue Marlin Villa, is a charming 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom seaside cottage located on Jamaica's quiet South Coast in the beautiful Treasure Beach area. The house was built by the father of the current owners as a tranquil family get-away by the sea. In recent years it has developed a loyal group of repeat guests who keep returning to enjoy the unspoilt St. Elizabeth coast and beach location on Great Pedro Bay. The villa gets its name from the magnificent blue marlin caught by the family patriarch off the coast near the villa. The trophy is proudly displayed in the living room.
The Blue Marlin sits along with its sister villa Coquina on 2.5 acres of beautiful gardens that are designed to thrive in the arid climate of the area. Treasure Beach is know for its sunshine with more hours than any other tourist location in Jamaica. The privacy of each villa is enhanced by a grove of lignum vitae trees whose blooms attract thousands of butterflies in spectacular displays twice each year.
The beach is one of the finest on the south coast and offers excellent swimming and snorkeling. It is also a haven for shell collectors. You can admire the amazing collection of shells collected by the family over the years in a large display case in the living room. The area was also the site of an Arawak village, and it is still possible to find artifacts buried just below the surface.
Blue Marlin is the ideal location for the traveler looking for a truly relaxing and unique experience away from the bustle of a resort area.
