Margarita Island condo Rental Property Information

This is a vacation room on the Caribbean Island Margarita, 100 m from the water park (Parque de Aqua), 300 m from the beach. The room has air conditioning, bathroom/ WC, terrace, hammocks and parking places on the estate. You can rent the room for a minimum price of 25 Euro per day. Here, on the Margarita Island everything is very convenient: for example 30 Cent for a bier, rum for 2 Euro, a tankful of fuel for only 1.5 Euro, etc. Within a short distance, you will reach the beaches: Playa el Agua, Playa Parquito, and Playa Manzanillo. The shuttle service from the Porlamar airport or from the ferry ports is included for stays longer than 14 days. Condor / Thomas Cook fly from Frankfurt am Main directly to the Margarita Island 4 times a week. There are about 45 minutes by car to the airport and 50 minutes by car to the ferry harbour. The climate is constant all the year through. Although the island is increasingly popular, it is still not affected by mass tourism.

Pampatar, a quiet and beautiful town was founded in 1530 and has an Indian name that can be translated into ‘The Salt Town’, as it hosts a salt mine even nowadays. You can discover a lot of mystical and beautiful attractions in this charming town, and you will be impressed with the noble, old, colonial buildings. The Spanish settled here mostly thanks to the strategic position, the deep water and the quiet harbours, as well as thanks to the natural salt deposit. Yachts, ships and wood boats are anchored in the bay and form a picturesque landscape. There are 10 km to Porlamar.

Miscellaneous What is the present exchange rate? The official exchange course of Venezuela is 2150 Bolivars/ US$ 1 (October, 26th, 2006). You can bring Euro with you as well (better exchange rate). At the end of January 2003, the Government of Venezuela started an exchange rate control in order to protect the Bolivar. As a tourist, the best thing to do is to bring Euros with you. We also recommend credit cards, only that at the bank, you will receive money according to the official exchange rate, minus fees. We also recommend that you ask in the hotel or in the guest house where you can find the best exchange course. Most things on Margarita Island have convenient prices, as we belong to Venezuela, unlike the other Caribbean Island. Margarita is also a duty free zone.
