Only 150 m from the house in Schwend you can get in free and already go towards Betzenberg, Riedelhof, Popperg, Illschwang and Fürnried through forests, mountains and valleys. For Alpine-ski there are ski lifts in Etzelwang, Habres, Sitzambuch, Freudenberg and Mertenberg. These can all be reached with a car in about 15 - 30 minutes.
