Ellijay cabin Rental Property Information

This is two story, 2000 square ft, REAL, full log home on the banks of the Coosawattee River in the secure, gated Coosawatee River Resort in Ellijay, Georgia one hour north of metro Atlanta. This log home features hardwood walls and floors throughout with exposed beams and a large cantilevered loft. A 6 person, therapeutic hot tub overlooks the river from a 40' covered riverside deck. Log Cabin on Whitewater sleeps 8 comfortably and can accommodate 10. Accommodations include 3 bedrooms each with queen beds and a large loft/4th BR with a full sized futon bed. Hi-speed internet/wi-fi hotspot. Fully equipped kitchen includes refrigerator, oven, stove top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender & coffee maker. The large vaulted family room features a gas log fireplace and satellite TV with 8 HBO channels . The dining area has a large table that seats 6 adjacent to kitchen with island seating 2 more. The utility/laundry area is equipped with a full sized washer & dryer.

Ellijay is nestled in the foothills of the vast Chattahoochee National Forest and Appalachian mountains. Wildlife abounds in the forests, rivers and mountain streams. The beauty of apple blossoms in the spring, lush green mountain forests in summer, autumn leaves and winters mountaintop white blankets produce an ever changing scenic panorama. Ellijay’s average temperature is 60 degrees and has an average rainfall of 60 inches. The highest elevation is over 4,000 feet. Ellijay is a popular destination for recreation and mountain living. Smimming, canoeing, kayaking, camping, hunting, trout fishing, hiking, biking, golf and tennis are popular activities. A recreation complex is located on the banks of the Coosawattee River. The Georgia Apple Festival on the second and third weekends of October attracts people nationwide to Ellijay. Apples, delicious food, autumn leaves, crafts and entertainment are always on the agenda.

  • RATE POLICY: Children under 3 no charge. 2 night minimum, 3 night minimum holidays.

    CLEANING FEE: $80 ($100 if more than four people for more than four nights)

    SECURITY DEPOSIT: $200 - fully refundable - returned within 10 days of departure if no damage found. Please note, we understand normal wear and tear and expect it. We don't want to keep any of your deposit and there aren't many circumstances that would cause us to do so. But excessive mud/dirt on floors/carpets, broken appliances and furniture, obvious neglect, etc. may make us consider retaining part or all of your security/damage deposit. Also, if we find evidence of smoking or pets in the cabin (we don't allow either), we may retain a portion of your deposit.

    RESERVATION DEPOSIT:
    $200 (non-refundable) - must receive within 10 days of making reservation. Subtracted from total rent when final payment is made.
  • CANCELATION: In case of cancelation, the $200 reservation deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation is 14 or fewer days prior to arrival, rent (including reservation deposit) will be retained, but security/damage deposit and cleaning fee will be refunded within 10 days. If cancelation is 30 days or fewer prior to arrival but not 14 days or fewer prior to arrival, 1/2 of rent will be retained with security/damage and cleaning fee refunded. If you cancel (whether 14 days or less or 30 days or less prior to arrival) and we do retain your rent but we are subsequently able to rent to others for the time you canceled, you may be able to apply all or part of the retained rent to a future rental. If we are unable to rent for the time you canceled, no retained rent may be applied to future rentals.
