Plymouth cottage Rental Property Information

July 4 to 11 still open. Also Labor Day weekend and all of September. Great weather and quiet! You'll love the short walk from 'The Palace' to our white sandy beach on Long Pond, one of Southeast Massachusetts' pristine glacial lakes. This rustic cottage is tucked into a pine woodland and sits on a hill just above the beach. You can sit on the screened porch and watch the sunset reflecting off the water. The beach, which is semi-private, has a dock, a floating raft and tons of sand -- perfect for sandcastles. The gradual entrance into the water is great for young children, swimmers, canoeing and fishing. The Palace accommodates up to 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with one double and two twins. There is a queen futon in the living room. The kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. The porch is set up for dining alfresco while enjoying a great view of Long Pond. The living room has high ceilings with exposed beams and wood stove.

Long Pond has remarkably clean, clear water with a sandy bottom and is very swimmable. The mostly wooded shoreline provides a scenic backdrop to beautiful sunsets. The Palace is in the shady pine woods and looks out over the lake. Located at the end of a private, sandy lane, the Palace feels 'away from it all' but it is actually less than 30 minutes from Plymouth's historic sites, golf courses, shops, and beaches. You can reach the Lower Cape in less than 1 hour. The Outer Cape and Islands are a hefty day trip and Boston is just over an hour in good traffic.

The Palace is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and those that want to get away from it all with an old-fashioned, low key vacation. Parking for 3 cars. High chair and crib available, please ask. Bed linens provided, please bring your own towels The location is perfect for short sightseeing trips to Plymouth, the Cape and Boston. Less than 3 miles to Plymouth's famous golf courses. A 20 minute drive to ocean beaches and local shops.
