With its location just down the road from several spiritual centers and ashrams the neighborhood is quiet, private, and tranquil. Road-less wilderness adventure, hot springs, skiing, The Great Sand Dunes National Park all within minutes. The Willow Creek Retreat House is a comfortable multi-level strawbale house with plenty of private space as well as a spacious central kitchen for sharing meals or entertaining. Gardens and the creek lend to the natural beauty of the property.

Strawbale House on creek Amenities: The house is fully appointed to sleep 7. The house includes a beautiful attached greenhouse located next to a bathroom with a claw-foot bath tub. The ultimate in romantic garden bathing. In the living room you'll find the DVD,VCR and satellite TV, sound system, along with a glass front Irish wood stove, back-up propane furnace, fluorite fountain and queen size sofa bed. Laundry facilities, full kitchen to accommodate 10, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee grinder, gas range and more.
Above the large second floor bedroom, which features a queen bed, double futon and 360 degree views, is another pyramid-shaped bedroom where you'll also enjoy great views while reclining or sleeping with the stars on a framed futon. In the morning and the evening you are likely to see a family of mule deer making their way to and from the pristine creek, just a minutes walk from the house. Activities: Close to skiing, hiking , mountaineering, hot springs, white water rafting, meditating, horseback riding, Area: The town of Crestone is a 5 minute drive away where you'll find a natural food store, gasoline, hardware/lumberyard, bookstore, coffee house/ cafe, Vietnamese restaurant, post office, video store, liquor store, pub, restaurants and more. Alamosa is less than 50 mi away and offers a wide variety of shopping and entertainment. Colorado Springs is an easy drive North.
