Commerce (shops, markets) This historical apartment was once part of the hotel “La Providence” where Charlotte Corday stayed when she came to Paris to kill the famous French revolutionnaire Marat in 1793. Many years later, it was a favorite hotel of Alexandre Dumas. The Historic Apartment Des Victoires is located just a block and a half from the Chatlet/Les Halles Metro RER station. It is possible to come to the apartment direct from either airports CDG or ORY via this RER train service. Apartment Des Victoires is also at a walking distance from the renowned Cultural Center Georges Pompidou also known as Beaubourg, an asset of this location is the closeness of Paris most important monuments and tourist points of interest such as the Louvre Museum, the majestic Jardin des Tuileries, and within few minutes walk from the Seine or from the stylish shops of the “rue Saint-Honoré” with it’s famous designers shops like Collette..
