This sunny 4 BR house has a spacious open living area with high vaulted ceilings, lots of large windows. There are two bedrooms on the main floor in addition to an open kitchen, living room, bathroom and dining room. A very large deck surrounded by the woods and a closed in porch are also on this main level. The downstairs living area (ground level not a basement) has two more bedrooms, a large den (with queen sized sleep sofa), bathroom and a utility room with a washer and dryer.

Located closely to Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, Berkshire Playhouse, Shakespeare Theater, Norman Rockwell Museum as well as shopping in Great Barrington, Lee (outlets, Lenox, etc. There are many national parks for hiking and fishing, such as October Mt. Bash Bish Falls, etc. Ponds and lakes are available for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Blueberry, strawberry and apple picking during the appropriate season. In the winter cross country skiing from the door of the house. ( It is situated on 2 acres of forest with many more adjacent forests.) There is a cross country ski resort 4 miles from the house in addition to Jiminy Peak, Brodie, Butternut, Bosquet and Catamount where you can snowboard or go downhill skiing.

Amenities Can easily sleep 12 people. Has queen size beds, sleep sofa, twin beds in two of the rooms. Lots of closet space, kitchen is fully equipped (including dishwasher). Outside deck has grill, teak dining table and chairs plus other chairs for deck use. The screened in sun porch is off the deck. House includes central vacuum, trash compactor washer/dryer, completely equipped including linens, towels, TV, DVD, VCR.

Activities & Area Activities: Berkshire year-round wooded retreat is near all cultural and sports attractions such as Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, The Shakespeare Theater, and the Berkshire Theater. There are several ski areas, including snowboard parks within 15 min. to an hour's drive. Center Lake is a 5 minute drive. Hiking available at October Mountain, Monument Mountain and Bearstown State Park. Area: The town of Lee, (including famous outlets), Lenox, Stockbridge, W. Stockbridge and Great Barrington are between 15-25 minutes from this secluded site. Williamstown is about a 45 minute ride but well worth the trip to visit the Clark and contemporary Museums.
