Our home, In the Pines, lies on the gentle slopes of Grassi Mountain, named after the famed Canadian Rockies trail builder. This delightful home shines in a mountain setting with natural hues, timber and high open ceilings. We chose a decor that is warm and invitingly cozy with huge sofas and chairs to soak up the panoramic views. Our guests tell us that the simple, elegant design of the house makes for easy vacations and the quiet location is easily accessible yet secluded. You'll love relaxing on the huge deck, it is ideal for al fresco dining, soaking up the sun while sipping coffee, or watching the extraordinary alpenglow light at twilight. The dining area, kitchen and living are all open plan allowing everyone to join in the fun. The island kitchen is fully equipped with plenty for herbs and spices for the chefs. We have many games and books for you to enjoy. On the same level are two queen bedrooms, a 3 piece bathroom and the master ensuite.

Amenities: All beds are new and offer cozy duvets. A large rear deck is perfect for barbequing and lunches. This leads to the rear garden where a trampoline is set for kids of all ages (please use this at your own risk!) On the lower level the entry provides plenty of storage; a possible single bedroom if needed, a large family/media room that has a premiere queen sofa bed and separate 3 piece bathroom. Outside is plenty of off-street parking in our quiet neighborhood. We welcome you to stay in our home, relax and enjoy the magnificent Canadian Rockies - a place we're happy to live in. Activities: The ten minute stroll into town often takes longer as we pause to watch for wildlife in wooded trails, and broad meadows where elk and deer are spotted grazing, and the Bow River where we see beaver, eagles and ospreys. Canmore is a lively resort town with plenty of stores, dining options, cafes and a vast array of activities. We'll make sure you have brochures of the most reputable operators. Golfers will love the SilverTip, Stewart Creek, Canmore, Kananaskis and Banff Springs courses all within 40 minutes scenic drive. We're keen hikers, bikers, mounatineers and skiers - that's why we chose Canmore as home. The mountain biking, climbing and cross country skiing are amazing. Skiers are in nirvana! With Lake Louise, Sunshine, Nakiska and Norquay easily accessible and a fine rental store in town.

The Bow River is trophy fly fishing and birdwatchers or wildlife viewers will be busy! BR B Area: /B BR We find our home is perfect as a base for discovering the Canadian Rockies, Banff, Lake Louise, The Icefields Parkway, Moriane Lake and Kananaskis. Calgary International Airport is 1.5 hours drive with plenty of car rental options. The tourist haven of Banff is an easy 20 minute drive and is also great for dining.
