Sunriver chalet Rental Property Information

1608 sq ft., three bedroom two bath chalet older (1971) two-level home with master bedroom and king-size bed upstairs and additional room upstairs with queen-size bed all with down comforters. Another bedroom downstairs has two twin beds and TV with DVD player and DirecTV. This room is across the hall from the downstairs full bathroom. All beds are brand new and top quality with down comforters and linens. A brand new top of the line 45 jet 6 person hot tub has been installed outside (August 2004) with a view of the river and stars for more relaxation. A deck near the river and cedar deck next to the hot tub have been installed. The last two miles to the cabin are on a flat gravel road which is well traveled and plowed in the winter. The home is in a subdivision (Beaver Rd. District) with 14 homes along the river and has Forest Land to the South and river on the west lot lines. There is a log home about 50 feet away to the north with a fence.

Bend Oregon is a very outdoor oriented area with skiing, fishing, mountain biking, rock-climbing and nightlife and is about 21 miles north of the cabin. The cabin is 5 miles south of Sunriver Oregon which is a large destination resort with multiple golf courses and many private vacation homes as well as activities and shops. The cabin is 5miles south of Sunriver so is 21 miles south of Bend.

Amenities In the master bedroom there is a bathroom as well as small upper deck with an excellent view of the river and a 24-inch TV and DVD with DirecTV satellite service with 130 channels. The master has a pine log bed, dresser and nightstand. Downstairs there is a living room with a leather couch, LaZboy chair, dining table, and big-screen TV with surround sound and DVD/CD player with five speakers. Bring your favorite DVD's or rent in nearby Sunriver or Bend. DirectTV TIVO (allows recording and playback and contains several movies already) with HBO provides 130+ channels and local Portland channels. The kitchen has a retro dining table and new range and dishwasher with Hawaiian theme cocktail glasses, coffee grinder, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, knives, and Cephalon cookware. There is a dryer and washing machine purchased new in 2004.

Activities The house has 75' of riverfront with great views of river and two miles of national forest to the south so has easy access to mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and cross country skiing right out the door. A recent change to the Forest south of the house now prohibits any Atvs, snowmobiles or other motorized vehicles but those activities can be done in areas nearby if preferred. Great wildlife viewing with bald eagles and other wildlife visible from the house and expansive deck. Boats are allowed with a 5 mph speed limit and a boat ramp is nearby 1 mile downriver (North) at Big River Campground off of S. Century Drive and upriver at LaPine State Park. Sunriver is 5 miles Northwest 10 minutes away. There is sunshine 300 days a year in Central Oregon with snow in the winter as it is at 4200' feet elevation and great trout fishing May to October right out the door and nearby Fall River year round for fly fishing only.

Great rafting and other activities such as horseback riding can be found four miles away in Sunriver, a full-season resort with shopping village, restaurants, pools, golf, spa, and other amenities. Bend, Oregon is 15 minutes by freeway for more shopping/nightlife. You can check the weather on the web using the Oregon Pass Cams feature at nearby Hwy 97 at Lava Butte at using the ODOT website Tripcheck or go to Viewports and select the Sunriver airport. It is approximately 5 miles SW of Sunriver near Three Rivers/Crosswater/Thousand Trails and 21 miles due south on Hwy 97 from Bend OR. Airport access is at Redmond, OR 35 miles North on Hwy 97.

Skiing Information: Mt. Bachelor is 19 miles away and provides world class skiing and snowboarding.

Golf Information: Golf available at many courses nearby including Sunriver (3 Courses), Crosswater (private), Quail Run, Awbrey Glen in Bend and many others.
