Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • From $1,350/Week, $270/night
  • Cottage is rented as a 4BR/2.5BA unit until 45 days prior to arrival, at which time owner will consider renting portions (3BR/1.5BA or 1BR/1BA), each having kitchens, living rooms and etc. A $675 Security deposit is required to confirm reservations. Full weekly/daily rate and housekeeping fee is due 45 days prior to arrival. The security deposit will be returned within 30 days of departure (minus any expenses for property damage or extraordinary cleaning required).

    Cancellation fee is $75. If the house can be re-booked for the period, all funds will be returned less the $75 cancellation fee. If the house cannot be re-booked, all funds paid (less the security deposit) will be forfeited.

    A housekeeping fee of $80 applies to each cottage ($160 when rented together). Mid stay housekeeping is available upon request for $80/cottage.

    Arrival: Check-in is after 4:00PM
    Departure: Check-out is prior to 12
  • The cottage (4BR/2.5BA unit) rents for $1,900 for all but two of the summer's peak weeks. The cottage is available for weekly rentals until 45 days of arrival in the peak weeks (and at all other times). Reservations for less than full weeks or for portions of the cottage (3BR/1.5BA or 1BR/1BA, each with kitchens, living rooms, etc.), are accepted within 45 days of arrival.     Daily rates begin are $270 for May and September and $380 for most peak season nights. Individual daily rates vary between $150 and $240 for the 3BR/1.5BA cottage and between $120 and $170 for 1BR/1BA cottage.

4BR/2.5BA Next to Lake, Ample Private Space The cottage is actually a 3BR/1.5BA unit and a 1BR/1BA unit, connected by a common breezeway housing laundry facilities and life jacket storage. Each has its own water heater, plumbing, kitchen, living area, patio and grill. The kitchens are fully stocked with kitchenware, linens, garbage disposers, coffee makers, TVs, microwave and conventional ovens. The neighbors are long-term, year-around residents. There are few fences. Many school aged children live in the neighborhood. The full baths have a tub and shower. There is also a half bath. The bedrooms have pillows, blankets and linen. The larger living room has a wood fireplace, new faux wicker furniture. Both cottages share telephone and cable TV service, washer and dryer. The larger patio has a Weber gas grill and the smaller patio has a Weber charcoal grill. The fire pit is near the lake. The dock is 32 feet long. There are two row boats and a pedal boat. The cottage has two furnaces, just in case.

Warm, Spring Fed Lake, Charming Village Guests are requested to bring their own bath and beach towels. There are dozens of golf courses within 20 miles, miniature golf and go cart racing is 12 miles and Lake Michigan is 30 miles away. The Air Zoo (aircraft museum) is 20 miles away and Cereal City is 35 miles. There are two large flea markets within 10 miles. It is 3 miles to the Village of Paw Paw, where there are two nice restaurants. Paw Paw's wineries offer tours. Paw Paw has one modern super market. There are many U-Pick farms in the area featuring blueberries, strawberries, cherries and other stone fruits. The cottage is located approximately 4 miles from Interstate 94 and is equidistant from both exits 56 and 60. The terrain is gently rolling hills with many vineyards and fruit farms. There are a lot of things to do in the area but most guests tend to merely 'hang out' at the lake. It's really a beautiful lake.

Boat Facilities and Boating There is a public landing on the other side of the lake for boat launching. Lake Brownwood has no marina. Pontoon boats can be delivered for a week for approximately $1,000 from a few vendors. We can provide referrals. The lake has a 'no wake' rule between 7:30PM and 11AM daily. Life jackets are provided for row and pedal boats.
