Cannon Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom en suite villa with its tropical colours, distinctive art work and furnishings that are tasteful, stylish and one of a kind. The Villa boasts two original cannons from Jamaica’s colonial days and is located in the fully gated, secured and patroled community of the Silver Sands Estate. This Resort has approximately 100 private Villas owned by individuals from all around the world. Cannon Cottage has the great fortune of being situated on an incline so it overlooks and offers a breathtaking view of the world famous Silver Sands Beach and is just a one-minute walk to the water. Dining on the terrace provides a tranquil view of the turquoise waters of the sea as well as the beautiful tropical foliage surrounding the Villa.

Cannon Cottage, in the Silver Sands Estate Resort is in the town of Duncans, located on the north coast of the island and 15 minutes drive from the historical town of Falmouth, capital of the parish of Trelawny. It is a 45 minute drive from the Sangsters International Airport in the town of Montego Bay, known as the 2nd city (Kingston being the 1st) and a 45 minute drive from the famous town of Ocho Rios, where you can climb the world renowned Dunns River Falls, or swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove. From the villa, you can travel within a short time to a number of popular golf courses along the north coast.

More about Cannon Cottage Day or night you can relax in the Jacuzzi with its own waterfall, set among the rocks in the back garden amidst the lush tropical paradise, or 'chill out' in the hammock on the verandah and enjoy the cool sea breeze while sipping your rum punch. Lorna, Nessie and Barrington, your Cook, Housemaid and Gardener, will pamper you to ensure that your stay at Cannon Cottage provides memories to last a lifetime. Baby-sitting services are available upon request. The villa provides some amenities for babies and toddlers at no extra cost, including crib/playpen, booster chair, bed rails, crib net, assortment of beach pails and toys, floats. Cannon Cottage - private enough to get away from it all, or you may wish to join other families, who are staying at any of the other villas throughout the Estate, at the Club Area, which is the social centre and hub of Silver Sands, which has live entertainment some evenings, including bands and kareoke.

Activities on the Silver Sands Estate The beach is an expanse of magnificent fine grained white sand, cleaned daily. It is one of the best in the Caribbean, and has a qualified Life Guard. You may swim in the beautiful pristine blue waters, snorkel and explore the reefs of Silver Sands, or simply bask in the sun. The Estate is a perfect environment for jogging and power-walking, plus there are footpaths linking the roads from one block of houses to the next. There is also a Tennis Court. With minimal vehicular traffic, it is a great and safe environment for children and youngsters to roam around as they go about exploring and meeting other children who may be staying at other villas. The large patio overlooking the beach has a bar and grill, and a pool room. There is a spa service, and a well stocked commissary. There is a Gazebo at the end of the Jetty that separates the West Beach from the Swimming Beach - a romantic spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. Also a popular setting for many a wedding over the years.

Activities around and nearby Silver Sands Billy, the driver, provides round-trip transfers Airport/Silver Sands. Advise if you need car seats. You can also arrange with him to take you to any of the many tourist attractions Jamaica has to offer. Errol will take you by boat snorkeling or fishing nearby. There is a small coral reef just offshore the beach and a larger one further out. You can use his gear or bring your own. He can also take you on an exploration ride along the coastline where you can discover some beautiful, small deserted beaches. Deep Sea Fishing (or luminous Lagoon Tour) can be arranged by David. Hire the 38' Bertram Sport Fisherman for 1/2 day or the full day.. docked 10 mins west of Silver Sands. Braco Stables, not 10 mins east of Silver Sands, offers a horseback riding tour. There is the local Fishermans Beach next door the property. Vendors sell their art and craft during the day and at nights there is Island entertainment to be enjoyed. Its a 3 minute drive to the town of Duncans.

Golf Information: GOLF is an important and popular sport in Jamaica, and there are many great courses throughtout the Island. Those closest to Silver Sands on the North Coast are:- Breezes Golf and Beach Resort - 18 holes, less than 20 miles east of Silver Sands, a 25 minute drive. Grand Lido Braco Golf Club - 9 holes, is about 5 miles east of Silver Sands, a 10 minute drive. Half Moon Golf Club - 18 holes, less than 25 miles west of Silver Sands, a 1/2 hour drive. Ironshore Golf & Country Club - 18 holes, about 25 miles away in Montego Bay, west of Silver Sands, a 40 minute drive. Wyndham Rose Hall Golf Club - 18 holes, about 20 miles west of Silver Sands, a 25 minute drive. More information on these golf courses are available upon request. Two other attractions worth mentioning here are:- SWIMMING WITH THE DOLPHINS - This is extraordinary and the Dolphin Cove is just before you get to Ocho Rios. DUNNS RIVER FALLS - Climbing the world-famous fall is a must. This is also conveniently located just before you get to Ocho Rios.
