Wananavu villa Rental Property Information

Located a 2 hour drive from the airport- no ferry or extra flight need, Starfish Blue is on the vivid Sunshine Coast- lush greenery inland, tropical hues in the water. We are on the dry side of the island, which helps us avoid bugs and other issues. Starfish Blue was designed for guests to live out their dream holiday. Honeymooners and couples love the privacy and the master suite, and families love the three bedrooms and bathrooms. Adults traveling together enjoy the variety of things to do in this slice of paradise. The upstairs master suite is exceptional- hardwood floors, in-room Jacuzzi, desk area and covered deck with loungers. Downstairs, 2 bedrooms have tile floor, private bath and glass doors that open directly out onto the pool area. From the garden, it's a short walk down the steps to the blue water of the Pacific Ocean, where you can swim or snorkel. Starfish Blue is located in a development adjacent to Wananavu Beach Resort where our guests enjoy resort privileges

Absolute waterfront- private steps down to the beach. Relaxing, rural, quaint area- a photographers dream. This is one of the world's finest places to dive or snorkel. We provide masks and snorkels for you to use at Starfish Blue or to take with you on an excursion during your stay. The water is very calm here, as we are protected by 3 islands. You can take a leisurely swim down to Wananavu, where you can rest on the lounge chairs or hammocks. Enjoy dinner cooked by one of the local woman (fee applies, see our web site for menu) or eat under the stars at Wananavu while being serenaded by locals with a ukulele.

  • We've designed all of our bathrooms to have the sink outside in the room, to allow two people to get ready at once. Towels, both pool and bath, are provided.

  • The upstairs master is a true suite, with a spa tub for two in the room with gorgeous views, bathroom, desk, sitting area with leather Pacific Green furniture, and private deck with gorgeous views and two hardwood loungers. The downstairs rooms are each similar to generously sized hotel rooms. Each has a queen bed, sink in the room and separate shower and toilet area, and is steps away from the pool. They say the perfect room is 6 steps from the pool, Starfish Blue has two of them. We can bring in up to two extra beds as needed. We offer a crib and high chair for babies.

Our spa outside is a cool spa - it shares the water with the pool. In the master bedroom, we have a 2 person jetted tub, which you fill from the tap. Wananavu, the nearby resort, has a computer with internet access (for a fee) activities, daily snorkel tours as well as trips to villages, waterfalls, etc. You're welcome to join the activities, but fees do apply just as it does for their own guests. You're welcome to use their pool for no charge, as well as eat in the restaurant and relax in the bar. Some of the amenities listed above (such as tennis courts, boats) are at Wananavu.

Value for your vacation dollars Guests have full privileges at Wananavu Beach Resort, which is about a 5 minute walk from Starfish Blue. At the resort, you can join day trips dine in the restaurant, relax with a cocktail at the bar and swim at the pool. Note- some activities or events have charges.

Local Area RakiRaki is a small town in Northern Viti Levu. There are 4 or 5 grocery stores, an open-air market, but very little in the way of 'tourist' shops. Wananavu, where the house is located, is about a 10 minute drive from town, in a quiet residential area adjacent to Wananavu Beach Resort. Wananavu has a restaurant, dive shop, gift shop, and Internet access. The region is lush, mountainous, with gorgeous views. The area immediately around the resort is rural. Town is about a 10 minute drive. Very peaceful, great for a relaxing holiday or dive holiday. Our accommodations are great for honeymooners. Wananavu can host weddings. Swimming (Pool and Ocean), Snorkeling, Diving, Walking, Boat Trips, Day Trips, Boat Trip to Island for the day.

Amenities: Private Pool with Cool Spa, In Room Jacuzzi in Master Suite, Beach Access, Laundry, Full Kitchen, Maid 2 Hours a Day 5 days a week, Full Access to Wananavu Beach Resort, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, CD Players, DVD Player and TV. We've tried to include everything you might need to make your holiday more enjoyable. In addition to a fully stocked kitchen, including coffee maker, panini maker, blender, and other small appliances, we have all linens you will need, pool towels as well as bath towels and sheets for all of the beds. If you're traveling with an infant, let us know, and we can arrange for a crib/cot and high chair. We also provide masks and snorkels for using in the water. We do not provide fins, as the area outside our house is rocky, so you will need your own water shoes. We have CD players in every room, so feel free to bring some of your favorite CDs. We also have a DVD player with a small library of DVD's and have recently added satellite TV.
