Yellowstone cabin Rental Property Information

The 'Montana Rocky Top Cabin' is surrounded by pink granite outcroppings and purple mountains majesty -- every window frames a picture postcard view of the surrounding wilderness. Located just two miles east of Cooke City and a short drive to the NE gate of Yellowstone National Park and the popular Lamar Valley, the property is abundant in wildlife. Fox, moose, deer, elk, eagle and an occasional bear have been spotted from its front porch! The Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone and numerous pristine lakes offer fishing within a short hike of the cabin. Handcrafted locally of native pine, the cabin was completed in October, 2002. As you wind through the forest along the Clark's Fork, the cabin sits at 8,600 feet and is situated on an acre that borders the Gallatin National Forest. The home seems to point to the heavens -- with three levels perched atop the mountain, it's easy to spot and aptly named 'Rocky Top Cabin.

Just ten minutes from Yellowstone's NE Entrance Gate, the cabin is just east of Cooke City in a quiet community of cabins high in the Beartooth mountains. The back door is only a few feet from the border of the vast Gallatin National Forest! It's a short walk to the Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone River and a nice trail hike to the Lady of the Lake. Also, it's only a 30-minute drive from the cabin up the scenic Beartooth Highway to Top of the World!

Specifically, the vacation home is located on a private road atop Colter Pass which ascends to become the Beartooth Scenic Byway, quoted to be the most scenic and dramatic drives in America! The mountain town of Cooke City is steeped in gold mining history, offers good dining and shopping in the summer, and welcomes everyone with a friendly, western charm. Amenities: This home is ready for your arrival. Such items that you would expect from a fine hotel await guests, such as fresh linens; Montana made soaps, shampoo and lotion; and an assortment of coffee and espresso maker.

Other necessities for an alpine experience are also included such as a wildlife spotting scope, telescope for star-gazing, and a soapstone woodstove to warm up chilly summer evenings.
