Local Shopping & Medical Facilities Ellsworth is about 30 minutes from the Taylor Camp. It includes 2 grocery store chains, WalMart, Home Depot, Hospital, Walk-in Medical Clinic, movie theater, and much more.

Location Tunk Lake: There is swimming, hiking, Mt. climbing, boating, fishing on Tunk Lake, and since the lake has so few cabins, boat traffic is very light. No Jet Skis are allowed (by law). Bar Harbor is a beautiful old New England town and a must-see. ACADIA NATIONAL PARK is the northeast’s only National Park. Don't miss Schoodic Point which is part of Acadia National Park and is just up the coast in the Winter Harbor area. Restaurants: There are many restaurants between Tunk Lake and Ellsworth, in the Winter Harbor area, and in Bar Harbor. There is something for everyone from all the major fast food chains (in Ellsworth) to very fine dining. See The Taylor Camp web site for more details.
