Newfound Lake lodge Rental Property Information

We are now booked for summer 2009 except for the month of June and the last week in August Welcome to Takoda Lodge on Newfound Lake. This lake home is a classic, quaint 75 year old New England lake house right on the water with desirable west exposure, on clean, clear Newfound Lake. It features a private beach, yard and boathouse and rustic beamed interior with interesting furnishings and antiques. This all makes it a unique and desirable destination on beautiful Newfound Lake. If you are looking for a vacation in a setting that reminds you of the movie 'On Golden Pond' and times gone by Takoda Lodge is for you. Enjoy the full length screened in porch overlooking the lake, swimming on your own sandy beach, using your boat from our dock or having a drink in front of our large fieldstone fireplace. The boathouse has a private studio with 2 beds and a balcony right over the water. Takoda (Native American meaning friend to all!

The downstairs interior has a large living room/dining room area with 1 bedroom and kitchen. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. Upstairs it there are 3 bedrooms. Two have full beds and a 3rd bedroom has bunk beds. The inside of the home has a rustic wood interior, with beams and hardwood floors. The house gives you the feel that you are experiencing a time gone by era. Relax and enjoy one of the nicer properties on crystal clear Newfound Lake, one of the cleanest and most beautiful in the northeast United States. This beautiful area in the foothills of the White Mountains has many activities and fine dining areas. Relax and enjoy the property and the many attractions this beautiful area has to offer. Once experienced, I'm sure you will want to come back.

Newfound Lake at your doorstep is the 4th largest lake in the state of New Hampshire. It is 7 miles long and 1 mile wide. The lake is located in the popular central Lakes region of New Hampshire just south of the White Mountains, which offer many natural attractions and activities. A local country store is only a mile away. Around Newfound Lake there are many great restaurants offering fine dining, as well as local spots with regional flair. The lodge is also 20 minutes away from shopping, movie theaters, antiques, outlet stores, golf courses.

The owners of Takoda Lodge live only 2 miles away and are always willing to offer local suggestions to get the true flavor of a New England country holiday. They also live on 20 acres of hilltop property, which you are welcomed to hike and watch for deer, moose and other nature life.
