Further Details for the house in Melbourne area, Florida, USA
Savor a delicious meal on the small patio next to the frangipani trees and hibiscus. In season, enjoy a refreshing treat from the orange, kumquat, banana, and lemon trees, the coconut palms, or the Surinam cherries. Stroll among tropical flowering plants and enjoy their exotic beauty and captivating fragrance. Play ball or Frisbee on the spacious green lawns. Read a paperback in the Adirondack-style chairs. Sun yourself on a chaise lounge or just daydream on a bench under one of the more than 70 palm trees. Located on a quiet residential street, you are only one block from a beachfront park and the beach, 3 blocks from a riverfront park and the Indian River, and 3 blocks from shops, banks, cafes, post office, and restaurants in the Indialantic village center. The historic community of Indialantic mixes that old-time Florida feeling with surf shops, fine dining, and charming shops. Here you can stroll along a beautiful beach bordered by luxury estates instead of high-rise condos.
Surfing, swimming, sandcastles--the lovely wide sand beach offers something for everyone. The beachside park has a boardwalk, a playground, and a beach volleyball court. Or you can watch the sunset from the gazebo out over the Indian River at the riverside park. The Seahorse House provides you with buggy boards, beach chairs and umbrella, and four bicycles. The house is close to several golf courses, marinas, tennis courts, playgrounds, etc. Just across the Indian River is the quaint community of Downtown Melbourne, with dozens of antique shops and informal trendy restaurants. And it's only just over 1 hour to Disney World, 30 minutes to elegant Vero Beach and Beachside Disney, 20 minutes to the world-famous beach at Cocoa Beach, 40 minutes to Port Canaveral (with Disney cruse ships and other pleasure and gambling cruises) and to the awe-inspiring Kennedy Space Center.
