Drive onto the Island Ferry, or your boat free boat slip included). The Island is only 100 yards away. 3. Get ready to RELAX! From the moment you wake up in the morning the sun shines in every window, and even if you usually sleep in, the views and wildlife will call you to get up and enjoy the day. Imagine drinking your morning coffee from the master bedroom balcony looking out into the blue ocean and sky, or eating breakfast on the porch while overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean spread before you!

You can go fishing from the beach below, or jogging (it's three and a half miles either left or right to the end of the island), or take a leisurely stroll searching for the best sea shells on the beach (better bring a bucket!), or the tracks of sea turtles (the island is a sea turtle habitat). All while enjoying the sunrise, watching Dolphins, Herons & Pelicans. In the afternoon pull up some beach chairs and the umbrella (provided) and enjoy the view, read a good book, or lay down your towel and catch some rays and enjoy the sound of the waves. For children (or the child inside you), make some castles in the sand -the newly renourished beach has beautiful soft white sand (buckets/shovels provided). When you get too warm, or want a change of pace, take a swim in the ocean, or the heated pool (located directly behind the townhouse).

If you have a boat and prefer fishing, take a 20 minute boat ride to Boca Grande - World capital of Tarpon fishing, or a leisurely Sunset Cruise around the islands. Imagine what a whole week would be like, or a whole month! You get the picture.... and we know we will be hearing from you soon!

This island is also a natural nesting ground for Sea Turtles. By the light of the moon these turtles reach the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs. As you stroll down the beach, you will encounter small areas which have been designated nests. Please do not disturb them. Also, in the evenings, we ask that you close your blinds and curtains to remove the oceanview light. As I mentioned earlier, the turtles must use the moonlight to return to the exact beach site where they were born to lay their eggs. If they return to a different site, they will not lay their eggs.
