Delray Beach with its balmy surf temperature was rated by Travel Holiday Magazine as Best Swimming Beach in the southeast and the city was named an All American City by the National Civic League in both 1993 and 2001. The beach is also known as a premier diving spot. After spending a day at this beautiful beach you will enjoy strolling on the promenade along A1A or relaxing at the pavilion enjoying the sunset. Extending about 10 blocks to the west of the ocean is 'The Avenue' where you will find collectible shops, casual as well as fine dining, live entertainment in the evening at many of the local pubs and restaurants, museums and historical sights.
