Plus our unique screened in porch! 50' HDTV - 600 TV Stations - Blu-ray DVD Player, too. That plus our eMac and free unlimited Wireless - tech heaven in the Woods! The Theatre is right off the Mountain Road - on the seasonal Trolley route to skiing, walking distance to swimming, golf and restaurants. Guaranteed fun for everyone! A special holiday is so easy in the Theatre. 3 comfortable bedrooms, huge screened in porch with views into the birches that fill our mountainside, but so very private. Wake to the sound of birds singing; spend inside time watching movies on our amazing home theatre system, playing some of the many family oriented games we've provided, or reading. If your family's idea of fun is the active outdoor thing - you are in the right place.

Stowe is the ski capital of the East for good reason! It's a simply wonderful ski hill. But there's much more to Stowe then just the skiing - which is why people come back over and over again. Other nearby centers include Burlington Vermont with it's discount centers - and great clothing stores. Montpelier - the state capital is just 30 minutes away. Even Jay Peak, one of the nicest glade ski hills in New England is under an hour. Stowe is a destination unto itself - but can happily be the center of a week, a month - or even a life time of great adventure.

Sports and Movies like you've never seen them before. Properly balanced Surround Sound System makes the Theatre a true Theatre experience - but the popcorn costs a lots less. We've stocked the theatre with over 35 DVDs to enjoy - and lots of fun games too. And of course there's the eMac and free high speed wireless internet. The options at the resort and around Stowe are wonderful. For Ski/Snowboard Season we accept 2 night minimums - so join us for a weekend (or a week) of fun on and off the slopes. Stowe isn't the best of the East for nothing. If you are looking for challenges - the front 4 are suitably daunting. And the brand new lift on Spruce means great intermediate and beginner terrain. But the best run for beginners of all sizes is Toll Road. My 5 year old grand-daughter simply couldn't get enough of that long, lazy, gradual downhill run. Thinking summer fun? We're right there with you - we book full weeks from Saturday to Saturday! So if you are planning on a cool, comfortable - and totally fun filled summer holiday - Stowe (and the Theatre) are the place. Stowe has so much happening in the summer - it's hard to even make a list.
Every weekend there's a concert, a country market, hiking, walking, golf, tennis (we have 2 courts at the resort even) - and for kids one of the best kiddy play grounds in the state. Walking distance from the condo are two natural swimming holes, a lovely river to splash around in - even cows to admire. So come on Down! (Well, up for most of you.) Come stay in Stowe's Theatre in the Woods. Relax in our beautiful three-bedroom/two-bath condo. Enjoy our 43-inch TV with a state-of-the-art home theatre set-up (includes over 200 TV channels, plus DVDs of our favorite videos). Enjoy the view of the birches, birds, and occasional fox from our huge screened-in porch; or just relax.
Our fireplace is warm and cozy - our views wonderful - and our indoor pool - well, simply perfect! Our beautifully decorated, fully equipped and very friendly condo is halfway between the center of Stowe and the mountain. It's within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops -- just a 5 minute drive to the ski hill -- right on the seasonal trolley route - and yet it's pleasantly private. 'Gold Crown Standard! (One of the nicest places we've ever stayed)' Michelle Willingham, Maryland Mountainside is a full-service resort with an indoor pool (perfect even if the weather isn't!), a hot tub, tennis courts, game room, a kiddie playground, and walking trails. But don't hang around the resort -- In winter it's ski and snowboard till you drop at 'The Best in the East'.
Skiing Information: Watched Harry Potter - great!' Norman and Lavinia Grinsteed, Surrey England BR B Amenities: /B BR 43' TV, 200 channels, DVD player with huge selection of our favorite DVDs, CD player, VCR, with state-of-the art surround sound home theater system. FREE unlimited high-speed Internet access with iMac. Our fully equipped kitchen has all the standard conveniences - brand new stove, dishwasher, huge fridge, toaster oven, and a lot of special extras you know you'll enjoy - blender, gourmet kitchen utensils, coffee grinder (and coffee pot - of course), tea kettle, huge selection of great cooking pots and pans - plus dishes for 12. In the unit, we've supplied you with games, books and playing cards. In the full service resort there's a wonderful indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub, and game room, with more games, books, pool table, and arcade games. Master Bedroom has a Queen sized bed with Bathroom ensuite. First Guest room also has a Queen sized bed. Kid's room features 2 bunk beds.
Golf Information: Or visit Ben and Jerry's to do the tour, and taste the ice cream! In summer the town comes alive with country living at it's best. There's simply tons to do in Stowe - on and off the Mountain. If you are planning ahead - reserve now for summer, fall, and next ski season. You can enjoy warm days and cool nights - and hiking, swimming, climbing, fishing, golf, our alpine slide, antiquing, biking, horseback riding, glider rides, canoeing, mountain biking, and tennis. And all year round there's music, theatre, and art. Hoping to enjoy world-class skiing next winter? Stowe has won every award from 'Best in the East' to 'Best for Kids'! You are going to love what we have to offer! There are 57 restaurants (5 in easy strolling distance) and 70 shops, as well as beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings -- the best of the country! All roads lead to a great vacation in Stowe -- and at Mountainside Resort. 'Super decor throughout and the TV and sound system were magnificent.
Guest Book 7/18/06: 'We traditionally spend our summer vacation at a house on the ocean and decided to try something different this year. We're glad we did. We have a family of 3 boys between the ages of 4 and 14 and everyone had a wonderful time. There was so much to do in Stowe - biking, mini-golfing, hiking, balloon festival, eating, Smuggler's notch, etc. The big screen TV, tennis courts, and screened in porch were major bonuses to enjoy after the day's activities.
