'House Book' included at the house, with extensive information on house details, restaurants, shops, history, etc. The house faces south, and takes in plenty of sun throughout the year. 'De Hoedenmaker' is located in a quiet residential area, about 400m north of Markt square, near the 14th-century St. Gilles church.

In the Surrounding Area: Town of Damme, 3 km (bike or canal ride). Belgian Seashore, 12 km. Gent, 45 km. Brussels, 90 km. This house makes an ideal base from which to see all of north-western Europe. Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Paris, Cologne, even London, are all within an easy day's drive or train ride. Many guests rent for 3 weeks or more, making numerous side trips.
