We charge a flat rate of $3,934.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday. This rate covers up to 7 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate. Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29. Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $7,868.00 and cover up to 14 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal rate. - All rates quoted are based upon eight (8) person occupancy and are charged based upon the number of nights you stay.
Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights.
Minimum requirement for Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, Easter and BYU Graduation (Spring) is 7 nights.
Minimum requirement for Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights.
Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over eight (8) person occupancy up to a maximum of sixteen (16) people, including children over 1 year of age.
Two (2) parking spaces are included with the rent. Extra parking may be ordered through our secure online reservations system.
Add a one-time, non-refundable, cleaning fee of $200.00 to all reservations.

More about Hale Mauka-Makai Downstairs The downstairs portion (1,500+ sf living area) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with porcelain tile floors throughout. It also features a remodeled kitchen & bath with granite counter tops, full size stainless steel stove/range, built-in microwave, full size refrigerator, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. This floor also has a private en-suite coin-op washer & dryer. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys direct ocean views. There are two queen size sleeper sofas in the living room in addition to a dining area with teak dining table and seating for six. The master bedroom has wrap-around ocean views and is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a high quality Sealy pillow-top queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a high quality Sealy pillow-top queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. The third bedroom is furnished with two twin pillow-top beds.

It aslo features a complete, large and open, modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, sealed top stove/range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals, making this home perfect for families traveling together or multi-generational families. The upstaris living area is light and airy, featuring vaulted ceilings and tropical-style furnishings. Almost every area has breathtaking ocean & mountain views. There are two three-person couches for your comfort in addition to an adjacent dining area with seating for up to six. The master suite is furnished with tropical furniture and a king-size, high quality pillow-top bed. The second bedroom has a pillow-top queen size bed and a laundry room with washer/dryer.
More about Hale Koolau We have owned and operated these properties for two generations. We have operated as Hale Koolau LLC for nearly a decade, however prior to this change of entity we operated the business as sole proprietors, accommodating thousands of guests over the years. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii with an A+ rating, member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, and have an 'excellent' rating on TripAdvisor. Guests who stay with us get more than just a place to sleep at night, they get their own beach house on the North Shore of Oahu. We have 450 linear feet of oceanfront property giving our guests plenty of room to lounge in the sun while being cooled down by the gentle breezes of the South Pacific Ocean. We also have four hot tubs on the property plus kayaks, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and complimentary high-speed internet.
