Neighbors Our house is at the end of a little alleyway where all the neighboring houses have long been occupied by artisans/craftsmen who still work at home folding fans, designing Yuzen kimono patterns, and carefully placing gold plates onto gorgeous hand painted fans.

Surroundings Walking towards North for five minutes will take you to one of the seven Geisha districts left in Kyoto called Miyagawa-cho. There, you can find beautifully dressed Geisha and Maiko walk around gracefully through paved streets. Walking towards West for five minutes will take you to a hip cafe ran by one of the Apple designers, where you can enjoy a perfect cup of Cappuccino by Kamo river. And walking towards East for 5 minutes, you'll find yourself in the midst of Kiyomizu Pottery galleries along the way to Kiyomizu Temple, UNESCO World Heritage listed site. Walking towards South for 5 mins, you'll find an organic Nepalese restaurant and a hip organic grocer next to each other on the way to a tomb of one of the greatest Shogun, Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Services With two bicycles provided, you will be an expert of Kyoto City by the end of your stay! Our house manager, Shuji, who is also one of our alley neighbors, will be more than happy to assist you when you need a helping hand to make your adventure a little less stressful.
