At your doorstep is a free shuttle service every 15 minutes to the historic town of Crested Butte. Black Bear Lodge is also on the paved hike and bike trail that goes from Mt. Crested Butte to the town of Crested Butte. No car is needed. Take the shuttle bus to the main ski area and downtown to restaurants. Crested Butte is said to be the wildflower capital of Colorado. It has wonderful downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, fly fishing and hunting. Come and enjoy the activities or simply enjoy the cool dry air and the scenery.
