Surfing, swimming, snorkeling, horseback riding, kite surfing, kayaking, hiking, skydiving, glider rides, fishing and mountain biking are all in close proximity. Whale watch from the lanai during the winter months and swim with sea turtles year round. Buy local fruit from the farmers market in old Waialua town on Saturday mornings or go to Starbucks just down the road. This is truly a special area of the islands, remote yet only a short ride into the world famous surf town of Haleiwa and just a 45-minute drive to the excitement of Honolulu and Waikiki, in case you are in need of night life or a little name brand shopping.
