Further Details for the house in Washington, USA
Sammamish is a beautiful place. It is one of the top 10 towns in the USA. Close to historic Issaquah, Sammamish is located at the Sammamish Plateau, on a hill with beautiful pine trees. Coming to Sammamish for a vacation is wonderful either for business or pleasure. Sammamish hosts Salmon Days during first week of October. It is a festival everybody likes to enjoy. Paragliding is also a part of activity on Tiger Mountain or Cougar Mountain. Bicycling and hiking is part of the activities during the summer. Or, if you would prefer to be near the water, Sammamish lake and Pine lake is only less than a mile. Salmon Days:Welcome to Issaquah Salmon Days as we celebrate 40 years of Great Returns. As the salmon are returning to our lakes, streams and the downtown hatchery, witness their valiant journey up the Issaquah Creek. This year’s festivities promise to be the best ever with all your favorites...the Grande Parade, delicious Foods of the World, creative and colorful arts and crafts.
Recreation Lake Sammamish and Issaquah's Lake Sammamish State Park offer water recreation. There are many hiking trails and scenic woods around the housing developments. There are five major city parks: Beaver Lake Park, Pine Lake Park, NE Sammamish Park, East Sammamish Park, and Ebright Creek Park. Parks being planned in the recently-incorporated city include Soaring Eagle Park and the Sammamish Commons. The East Lake Sammamish Trail, opened in April 2006, connects to a regional trail system. A skate park is located adjacent to the Sammamish City hall, across from Skyline High School. The first phase of Sammamish Commons, a city center project comprising City Hall, recreation facilities, and a police station was opened in late 2006. Eventually, the King County Library System plans to relocate the current Sammamish Library to the site; in addition, the city government and YMCA have recently been in talks to construct a community center on the site. Sammamish is home.
Tourism See also: Museums and galleries of Seattle. Almost two hundred cruise ship visits brought an estimated 750,000 passengers to Seattle in 2007.[136] Among Seattle's prominent annual fairs and festivals are the 24-day Seattle International Film Festival,[137] Northwest Folklife over the Memorial Day weekend, numerous Seafair events throughout July and August (ranging from a Bon Odori celebration to the Chevrolet Cup hydroplane races), Bumbershoot, which programs music as well as other art and entertainment over the Labor Day weekend. All are typically attended by 100,000 people annually, as are Hempfest and two separate Independence Day celebrations since 2006, festivities have been held city-wide, and the parade has followed a route in Downtown. Horse Riding: Two properties near by offer Horse riding for children.
