Cabo Rojo Attractions Cabo Rojo is best know for its beaches. Everyone around the Island loves to visit Cabo Rojo for its calm and beautiful beaches, as well as its friendly people. Also well known are the culinary experience you will have. Joyuda host a 3 mile stretch filled with great restaurants. Downtown Cabo Rojo you will find Fine Dining Restaurants like Salvatore and Cassaba to mention two. The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse and the Salt Flats are a most see. Boqueron picturesque town is the spot for pubs, bars and beach related stores... very eclectic and special experience.

Nearest airports We recommend you fly to Ponce instead of San Juan. From the Ponce airport is a 45 minute drive to Cabo Rojo. The airport is smaller and less crowded. From San Juan is a two and a half our drive. Aguadilla airport is also a good option. From Aguadilla is a one hour to and hour and a half drive to Cabo Rojo. It is also a small airport. Ponce and Aguadilla airports have car rentals for your convenience.

Other points of interest Bio luminescent Bay at Parguera, Lajas. It is better to visit it with no moon, so you will experience the magnificent glow this micro organisms give the water at Parguera. Rides go out daily. Check the Toursim Guide at the apartment for phone number and operation hours. Mayaguez Zoo. If you like zoo's you will love it. Rino's, monkeys, butterfly station, bird station, snake station, giraffes and many more. You will walk thru the stations with the butterflys or birds flying above and around you. A very special experience. Hormigueros Cathedral. It is best know for the pilgrims that come to offer their sacrifice for the cure of a love one. You will see people walking on their knees hundreds of cement stairs as a sign of fervor and faith to the Virgin.
