Location Our Simpson Beach Condominium is directly on the longest sandy beach on the island. The beach stretches all the way to the lagoon canal and is ideal for beach walks and collecting sea shells. The condo is in a quiet residential neighborhood with a mixture of private homes and elegant vacation properties. There is plenty of room for lounging on the pool deck or in a shaded beachside garden. A gated parking lot provides ample parking for all guests. Convenience is the word for our location. Within walking distance, you will find a French bakery, grocery stores, a bank, a drug store, restaurants, carryout food, a sports bar and more. Casinos and night life are a short drive from the condo.

Information on St Martin / St Maarten St. Martin is 37 Square miles and is well known for some of the finest restaurants in the Caribbean, the famous Orient Beach as well as an abundance of other good beaches. It is also known for it's European boutiques and bargains on electronics, linen and jewelry. Water sports, casinos, and nightlife also make this island a popular choice with singles, couples and families. There are plenty of activities such as horseback riding, The Butterfly Farm, the zoo and much more. St Martin is easily navigated by car. This is very useful for visiting the major towns as well as a variety of beaches. A regular sedan is adequate. Driving is on the right side of the road, the same as US, Canada and most of Europe.

Island Background While French and Dutch are the official languages, English is spoken almost everywhere. The US dollar is accepted everywhere but you may find prices quoted in Euros on the French side and Netherlands Antilles florin or guilders on the Dutch side. Shops and restaurants will convert prices to US currency. Credit cards are accepted in most places and there are ATMs if you need extra cash. St. Martin is a fun island and the Simpson Beach Condo works well for the independent traveler who prefers a great beach location.
