This is truly an incredibly peaceful spot with all the comforts of home. All linens and end-of-stay housekeeping services included. No smoking please. No pets allowed. Our home is not suited for children under 10 years of age. Great ladies get-away spot!! We have also had writer's retreats here, confirmation retreats, healing retreats and terrific family reunions.

Loon Lake As its name implies, Loon Lake is home to a nesting pair of Loons each year. We listen with delight as they call back and forth to one another. We also fiercely guard their privacy as a lakeside community and watch their every move as they teach their young to swim, fish and fly. We also see ducks, herons, and even an occasional eagle. Moose, deer, red fox, snowshoe hares, beavers and wildlife abound as do the ever-present Maine Chickadee, the Canadian 'Whiskey Jay', Evening Grosbeaks, all kinds of woodpeckers and too many others to name.

Rangeley The Appalachian Trail winds through Rangeley and can be picked up at several points. There are also several hikes that lead to beautiful scenic overviews and waterfalls. This is one of Maine's premier fly-fishing areas with land-locked salmon ponds and trout streams -- there are several MAINE Guides in the area available for daily hire. Canada is less than an hour's drive, so bring your passport for some international fun!
