Luxury on the Riversedge. Possibly the most stunning setting in town! Great Holiday escape or Vacation home while you explore all that the Durango area has to offer. Spacious for a couple; ideal for two couples or couple with children (there may be safety issues for children under 13, please contact owner). Upper level (2nd floor) access good (one flight of stairs) for elderly. Quiet nights but minutes from everything in Durango.

Comments on Location of the Riversedge I was fortunate to discover this location on the Animas River 15 years ago and have worked here as an attorney and real estate financier until just recently. A remodel completed, we began in July, 2009, offering the 'Riversedge' as a vacation/romantic holiday retreat rental. The location is just fabulous! Quiet and scenic on the river with a city park as a neighbor but in the 'middle of everything' on the edge of downtown Durango. Durango is a wonderful place -- big enough for a college and cultural activities but small enough to feel comfortable walking through town. The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Train is a huge draw each summer and fall and crosses the Animas River on a 90 year old tressel each morning/evening just outside your luxury lodging. Step out onto the deck for the best view and photo opportunities. A dental surgeon works quietly in the lower level condo so we ask parents bring well mannered children over age 12. Excessive noise disturbs his patients.

Durango area amenities Whether you travel to Durango for the train ride to Silverton, to visit friends or children at the college, to ski at the Durango Mountain Resort, compete in the Iron Horse bicycle race, ride your mountain bike, raft or kayak the Animas River, fly fish, hike, backpack or hunt; visit Mesa Verde or attend one of the many summer/fall festivals, your stay at the Riversedge will keep you refreshed, comfortable and inspired. Base from your Riversedge Retreat to travel and sight-see the Scenic Alpine Loop from Durango through Silverton, Ouray, Telluride for truly exhilarating San Juan Mountain scenery. Scenic riverside walks and rides on the Durango hike/bike path right outside your door. Adjacent park is beautiful; great for a picnic or playing catch with the kids. The Riversedge is an extremely romantic location and luxury suite -- perfect for weddings, honeymoons and memorable Durango getaways and memorable family get togethers!
