  • This charming 3600 square foot custom home is located in the Sheep Meadow neighborhood of Homestead Preserve, completed in the fall of 2006. The home has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, an open kitchen and dining plan, ten foot ceilings with custom moldings and spacious living areas. We added many wonderful touches such as wide plank black walnut floors, ground floor Master Suite with a private balcony and a luxurious bathroom that features a two-person rain shower and claw foot tub. The outdoor screened living room with a fabulous stone fireplace and slate floor is a favorite gathering spot three seasons of the year and along with a newly finished basement, and extra porches, adds many additional square feet of living space.

Why the Owner Chose Hot Springs Katie and I have traveled all over the world together and own properties in Vail, Colorado, Snowshoe, West Virginia and The Turks and Caicos Islands, but we truly fell in love with the idea of settling down in my home state of Virginia. We both attended Randolph-Macon College (not too far from here, in Ashland, VA), so are now able to reconnect with friends and family that we haven’t seen in years. We found that this amazing mountain paradise of Bath County Virginia had all of the wonderfully adventurous activities we have grown to love as well as the finest levels of culture, music and service we now seek out in a vacation destination. The Homestead Preserve community has all of this and more! We are one of a handful of home owners who will ever be this close to the legendary Homestead Resort, while at the same time enjoy the protection of almost 10,000 acres of protected landscape.

Guest Book Comments We hosted my father's 70th birthday party at Falconry Ridge Cottage this year. Great time with family! This cottage slept six adults and five children comfortably. We cooked dinner in the amazing kitchen one night and then dined out at The Homestead for our other meals. We skied, played golf on the resort's courses (Yes on the same weekend), visited The Homestead Spa and even hit the bowling alley. Most of our time though was spent relaxing around the house with the kids. We were given a Homestead Day Account Card at check in that allowed us to charge away without carrying cash with us everywhere...just like a Hotel guest. We would highly recommend this beautiful home! ***By the way, we paid less for this wonderful four bedroom / four bath home than we would have paid for a single hotel room at the resort! This is a VERY GOOD VALUE! Rent it before they raise their prices...

Skiing Information: The private Homestead Ski area is available for you to use during your stay at Falconry Ridge Cottage. You can actually see the ski slopes from this home!

Golf Information: All three of the golf courses at The Homestead Resort are available for you to use during your stay at Falconry Ridge Cottage. (resort charges apply)
