  • A do-it-yourself breakfast is included in the rate (six-pack of eggs, coffee, orange juice, fruit, tasty pancake mix and accouterments).

    The guest house rents for $125.00 a night. This rate does not include 5.5% sales tax and is subject to change. The nightly rate is for one or two persons. An additional $10 per person, per night is charged for additional guests over the age of 12 (two person limit).
  • A deposit equal to one night's lodging or 50% of a longer stay is required. Currently we
    only accept checks. Thus, your deposit must be received within seven days of booking
    The Carriage House in order to ensure the reservation. The balance is due upon check-

    • A 14-day advance notice of cancellation/alteration of reserved date(s) is required for a
    refund of your deposit less a $25 processing fee. No-shows are billed for their entire visit.

Further Details for the barn in Wisconsin, USA

History Located on the second floor of a fully renovated barn, part of the Lamboley House, a well-known historical cornerstone of Belleville. Mr. Constant F. Lamboley purchased the home and barn when he bought Belleville’s early telephone company from Scott, Miller and Ulerich in 1906. Originally a square eight-room house, he remodeled it to accommodate the telephone office and his family of seven children. The barn housed the company’s team of horses and telephone equipment. The property remained with the family almost 100 years until purchased in 2003 by its current owners, Katy and Joe Freye. They completely renovated the barn from summer 2006 to spring 2007.

Small Town Living You won’t have to get in your car to enjoy Belleville’s Main Street charm including a quilt shop, florist and gift store, fine or family dining, a walk in the park or a hike down the newly developed Badger State Trail. Additionally, Belleville is conveniently located near many wonderful small towns. From the artist ambiance of Paoli, to the strong cultural heritage of New Glarus, Mount Horeb and Stoughton you will find many antique stores, delightful restaurants and unique gift shops. If you are looking for more, Madison is only 30 minutes away!

Outdoor Activities The Carriage House provides access to countless different recreational activities. Enjoy hiking or biking on the Badger State Trail which runs through town or on many other nearby trails. Walk your canoe or fishing rod down to the Sugar River or explore other rivers within a 30 minute drive-time. Birding and wildlife viewing is made easy with access to nearby trails, State Parks and public lands. Golfing opportunities are also numerous as Belleville is close to courses in New Glarus, Verona, Oregon, and Madison. Enjoy winter by driving to one of the three area ski hills or cross-country ski on one of the scenic trails in or just outside of Belleville. Our location makes spending time in the out-of-doors easy!
