Large flat screen TV in the Living room for evening enjoyment. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils of all kinds as well as spices. Updated appliances. The house is cooled by an evaporation cooling system, aka, 'swamp cooler', that keeps the house nice and cool with ventilation on those hot summer days.

Whitewater info There are a number of local rafting companies that you can hire for guided trips out of Coloma, or if you have some skills and your own equipment, you can run any number of sections of river using the house as a base. The 8 mile section down to Coloma is the class III 'Chili Bar' section, with a 4 mile class II section from Coloma to Greenwood (locally known as 'C to G') and the final 9 mile class III section down to Folsom Lake known as 'the Gorge'. If you are just learning to kayak, or are game for some exciting 'tubing, you can float 1/2 mile downstream to the Hwy 49 bridge, walk approx 500 yards overland, and put back into the river and float 1 mile back down to the house! A really fun little float with five class II rapids and no driving needed; geat way to cool off on a hot summer day. There are also a ton of other rivers in the vicinity to enjoy, from leisure float trips to hair-raising waterfalls, it's all nearby.

It's all here! We've stayed at vacation rentals, and we've taken notes, lots of them! We noted what we liked, what we didn't, what we wish we had, etc. When you stay at our place, all you'll need to pack is a toothbrush and a bathing suit (okay, and maybe some sunscreen). We've set the house up to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We provide, shampoo, soap, conditioner, hair dryers, iron, and the list goes on. When you're on vacation, you want to spend time kicking back and enjoying your time, By providing tons of amenities, we think you'll feel right at home.

AIrstream Trailer! Yes it's true, you will have the opportunity to stay in an authentic 1960 Airstream trailer! It's parked with it's own perch looking down over the river. There's nothing like sleeping and dreaming in this silver cocoon. Your dreams will be magical. Please let us know if you would like to discuss using the Airstream as an additional guest room. (Guests 18 and up).
