Hiking / Tramping / Mountain Biking Beautiful lake, mountain and forest walks abound. There are walking tracks and huts through the mountains to Milford Sound and other spectacular destinations. The surrounding mountains offer plentiful mountain biking opportunities for all levels from picturesque flat lakeside rides to the World Class Sticky Forest single track.

Skiing Information: The Ski Fields of Cardrona, Treble Cone and the Snow Farm are half an hour away. Cardrona is great for family fun, Treble Cone suits more advanced skiers and is used by various northern hemisphere Olympic teams for their summer training and the Snow Farm has cross country skiing and a terrain park.

Golf Information: Wanaka's 18 Hole Golf Course has spectacular views and welcomes International visitors.
