Linens Provided: All cotton sheets and pillowcases, extra blankets, plush bath towels. Cooking Utensils Provided: Full set of stainless cookware, mixer & baking supplies, ample utensils, extra dishes & glassware, blender, crock pot, waffle iron, coffee grinder. Deck/Patio: Doors from the kitchen lead out to the roomy cedar deck. Door from the family room leads to the deck, gazebo & hot tub. Ocean View: View from all three floors - can see the surf when the tide is out. Great sunset view! No Pets Allowed: We're sorry that the original fir floors in Cornelius House are not suited to pets. The large main floor bedroom has a King-size bed. The main floor also has a full bath. Upstairs is the master bedroom with Queen-size bed, full bath, and window seat looking out over Nye Creek to the city park. The second bedroom has a Queen-size bed and window seat looking into the treetops. At the top of the stairs is a comfortable sitting area with window seat, easy chair and a view of the ocean, and a half bath. Family room in the daylight basement, with a large sitting area, gas fireplace, 6 foot slate top pool table, teak card table and electronic piano. From this inviting room, there is easy access to the gazebo with hot tub. When you get out of the hot tub, you can shower in the full bath in the basement. The laundry area with front loading washer/dryer is tucked into a closet in the basement.

During the renovation of Cornelius House, updates included installing all new plumbing, all new electric wiring, and a continuous on-demand hot water heater. Double-paned windows, all new insulation, and a gas forced air heating system make this a wonderfully quiet and comfortable 99-year-old home. A whole house structured wiring network and wireless internet provide the latest technology to keep you connected. Great care was taken to retain the original beauty of the woodwork throughout this grand house. Look for the original copper clad light fixtures in the living room and main floor bedroom. You will love our location: Two minute walk to the heart of Nye Beach and the best ever chocolate chip cookies at Café Stephanie. Two minutes to the Nye Beach Market, with its truly amazing variety of tasty snacks - try their homemade cinnamon rolls and great coffee. Five minute walk to put your toes in the sand.

You won't have to walk more than 10 minutes to any of over a dozen great eateries - from the new Nana's Irish Kitchen & Pub to the well established and homey Chowder Bowl, fresh baked breads and pastries at Panini, fabulous dinners at April's.... Can you tell that we love our local restaurants? There is something delicious in Nye Beach for every taste and budget. There are two places to access the beach near Cornelius House. The Nye Beach Turnaround is the closest - just 3 blocks away, with picnic tables, a place to wash the sand off your feet and public bathrooms. The second is a few blocks further south, at Olive and Coast streets. This beach access has a long winding paved path down a bluff to the beach, some cool sculptures, public restrooms and a memorial to sailors lost at sea.
