Fishing on Lake Adger, Lake Lure and on the Broad River, Antique Shopping in Black Mountain, Hendersonville 20 minutes away, and Asheville 40 minutes from the property, Live Theater at the Flat Rock Playhouse in nearby Hendersonville (The State Theater of North Carolina), Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville (original local works of arts and crafts- call for special demonstrations), Downhill Skiing in the Asheville Area (winter months- snow of course!, the Biltmore House Gardens, shops and Winery, Carl Sandburg Home and Historical site, two riding stables with great mountain trails.
