Local Attractions And Activities Plum Island has always attracted people who love the outdoors; that becomes immediately noticeable when one investigates local activities. Almost everything one might expect in terms of New England beach activities (like picnicking, beach combing, surfing, windsurfing, fishing, biking, boating, kayaking, whale watching, and hiking) is found nearby, as well as some decidedly unexpected things like airplane rides and lessons, glider instruction, Eco-tourism, archery, birding, antiquing, outlet shopping, fine dining, golfing, and live theatre. What sets the area apart from certain more famous Northeast US coastal communities is that the area has a far more laid-back feel and does not resemble a tourist trap. Nor does it strive to, as the local residents proudly and fiercely work to keep development appropriate and attractive while at the same time graciously welcoming. To our view, the best attraction is the area’s beauty and peacefulness.
Rental Suitability And Restrictions Strict no-smoking, no pet, & 4-person maximum occupancy policies are enforced. Exterior security surveillance is installed; images may be stored/viewed off site by Management. When considering this rental, please note that, as with any similar property, ordinary hazards exist. Therefore, it may not be suitable for all persons. Access requires use of stairs. A top story deck is accessible from inside. Cook top is gas-powered (open flame). Windows open fully from inside; no child locks or barriers are provided. Although renters with children are welcome, the unit cannot be characterized as child-friendly; website listing space limits preclude full description; additional safety information may be obtained from Manager. Rental is undertaken at renter’s own risk. Renter must sign rental agreement, incorporating Conditions of Occupancy, and comply with all prepayment requirements before reservation is finalized.
