  • This is an ideal home away from home for your family or for two couples visiting Historic Savannah. The parlor floor of the house has a large and nicely furnished front room, a dining room that seats up to six people, a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen. Two bedrooms are located on the 3rd floor of the house. Both bedrooms are fully and comfortably furnished with queen sized beds and the softest linens. Each bedroom has it's own deluxe private bath complete with lots of extra soft, fluffy towels. The sofa in the parlor folds out into a queen sized bed. This property is not suitable for small children.

The perfect home away from home on Monterey Square. This is a comfortably furnished, quiet, large, fully renovated home with spacious bedrooms and new queen sized beds made up with only the softest linens and blankets. The two-floor flat can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The parlor sofa makes into a queen size bed for 2. Easily walk to antique shops, boutiques, museum houses, Paula Deen's and other restaurants, Broughton Street, Forsyth Park and the river. Kuhlman House is located on West Taylor Street between Bull and Whitaker, next to Monterey Square, in one of Savannah's best neighborhoods.

Walk to everything from your Luxury Townhouse Walk to everything Historic Savannah has to offer! Kuhlman House, c. 1851, is listed on Savannah's register of historic buildings. It is located steps away from Monterey Square which is featured in both the book and film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and the film Something to Talk About. It is located in one of Savannah's most sought after locations in the National Landmark District. This is a luxuriously renovated, 3 story, Greek Revival townhouse and is one of the oldest houses on Monterey Square. The townhouse is comfortably and completely furnished, with an eat in kitchen, formal dining room, deluxe bathrooms and very quiet bedrooms. The parlor flat (top two floors) sleeps up to 6 people. The garden level can sleep an additional 4 people and is available for rent for an additional charge.

Find the right place to stay during your visit: We want to be sure that Kuhlman House is a good match for you and meets your needs so that you will enjoy your stay in Savannah. With that in mind, we try to provide you with as much information as possible. The townhouse is very nice, very clean and very well-maintained. It is a quiet place. It is definitely not a “party pad” and that is the way we want it. Please keep in mind that this is not a hotel or B & B, but our home. Most of our tenants are here for historic tourism purposes with their family, partner or friends, or just because they enjoy visiting historic Savannah. A number of our tenants rent the townhouse at least once or twice per year. If you are seeking a place to 'party', Kuhlman House is not what you are looking for and we encourage you to stay in one of Savannah's many hotels. Savannah's Landmark District is rated as on of the nation's most walkable cities. This is a great place to visit if you enjoy walking, green spaces and historic architecture.

About Parking in the National Landmark District: There is normally plenty of parking on-street, in front of Kuhlman House. The city of Savannah does require everyone, permanent residents and guests alike, to obtain a parking permit or feed the meters in order to park on-street during weekdays (8 am to 5 pm) in almost all of the national landmark district, which is where Kuhlman House is located. Weeknights after 5 pm and weekends offer free parking. The guest parking permit fee is $12 for a 48 hour period. The permit entitles you to park in any metered space or city owned garage at no additional charge, so it is really a pretty good deal if your don’t like to walk or take peddy cabs.
