Entering the main living area you'll see a stunning panorama of the mighty Pacific Ocean, as it crashes on the rocks just a few yards away. This is a top-floor unit with vaulted ceilings and skylights. Large and light, the living area features a wet bar and a beautiful river rock gas fireplace. Dimmers on almost all the lights allow you to set your own mood. The entertainment area is anchored by the 53-inch HDTV with DVD and Super VHS -- all built into the custom cabinets. We provide extended digital cable offerings including the Starz movie package and nearly 40 music stations. You can bring (or rent from nearby outlets) your own DVDs and videos, or you can watch those in our house collection. We have provided complete step-by-step instructions for using the entertainment electronics. There is also a CD player/stereo, and a collection of CDs.

Whether you're watching the big games or romantic movies, put your feet up and snuggle on the cozy sectional with built-in recliner -- which discreetly hides a full-size hide-a-bed. The comfortably and inviting conversation area is built around the beautiful river rock gas fireplace. "Stressless" leather chairs and a sofa give you maximum comfort during your stay. All this is amidst wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the ocean. Whether you're watching whales, waves, pelicans, or other sea life, you'll find it difficult to tear yourself away from this bird's-eye view of the majestic Pacific Ocean. Whenever we take family or friends to Whale View, without fail we wake up in the morning to find that one of our guests has wandered back out to look at the view during the night and has fallen asleep in one of the chairs in front of the windows until we wake them up in the morning.

Guests have commented that they have a hard time seeing the local sights, because they don't want to leave the view from the condo! We have the same problem. While enjoying all this luxury and natural beauty, you can check your email, surf the net, or work from oceanside using Whale View's high-speed cable broadband Internet access with a wireless router. It's great for those who want to stay at the beach, but have to work. The kitchen is fantastic -- a joy to cook in! Its fully furnished and features an amazing view. Pure black granite countertops, stainless steel professional-series appliances, a gas range, a microwave, an instant hot water tap, beautiful Kitchen Aid countertop appliances, and a full complement of cooking utensils make the preparing meal enjoyable. There is even a coffee grinder. The beautifully appointed dining area also looks out over the ocean. It seats six in regal comfort.

Skiing Information: Depoe Bay claims to be the whale-watching capital of Oregon -- and maybe the world. There is one pod of whales which lives in the area ten months of the year; and thousands of others pass by -- migrating north and south each year. At times, we are closer to them from our deck than the whale-watching charter boats are. We can also watch sea lions, seals, otters, pelicans, and other sea birds. For a different kind of watching, the Coast Guard often practice maneuvers just offshore -- in front of our unit. The master suite is luxurious and romantic; colors and fabrics are carefully chosen to pamper you and enable you to relax. The king-size bed is so comfortable, and the ceiling fan is wonderful. The spacious master suite includes a TV, VCR, a beautiful dresser and side tables, and a generous walk-in closet. (You'll find two comfy robes and special towels for the hot tub or swimming in each bedroom's closet.

Golf Information: One of the most popular features of Whale View is the five-person Marquis Spa hot tub on the private deck. It looks out out over the ocean, and is wonderful to enjoy all day and all night. Because of the way the deck's positioning, you can watch both sunsets and sunrises from the hot tub. (What you actually see of the sunrise is how the sun and the light creep over the hills behind Depoe Bay -- and the way the light changes on the water; it is simply breathtaking.) Sunsets from the deck are indescribable. You'll have wonderful memories of counting the stars or watching the whales while luxuriating in the hot tub. And you'll understand why our guests say that every visit is "a honeymoon". Looking south from the deck you'll see the coastline and the entrance to Depoe Bay, The World's Smallest Navigable Harbor. To the north there is more rugged coastline, and an unusual rock formation that creates spectacular effects with the waves. We love whale-watching from the deck (or the hot tub).

Guest Book The master bath is large and beautifully appointed -- with two sinks, a whirlpool tub for two, and a shower. A soaring ceiling and skylight in the master bath capture the sunlight, and make you feel as if you're taking a shower in an outdoor garden. The second master suite is lavishly appointed, -- with a king-size bed, a ceiling fan, a TV, VCR, and beautiful fabrics. The artwork in this special room will tug at your heartstrings, while bringing a smile. The second bathroom seems large enough for team sports, and is beautifully furnished with rich fabrics and artwork. You'll be talking about it long after you return home. There is a full utility room with a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board. As our guest, you'll have full access to The Beach Club, the clubhouse for The Village at North Pointe where Whale View is located.
